Hephaestus, the ancient Greek God of Forging, and Fire.

Fire opal is formed through great heat and pressure. The word opal derives from the Latin opalus, meaning “precious jewel,” and from the Greek word opallios, meaning “to see a change in color.”

Opal has long symbolized faithfulness and confidence.

We paired this opal with a sandblasted, gun-gray black Tungsten Carbide band.

At Thorum, we exclusively use simulated opals that are entirely ecofriendly, and will never tarnish, nor fade.
